Hello everyone! This will be short and sweet. I want to say “Welcome,” and introduce myself and the space I have created. My name is Marie, to put myself in a few boxes I am a wife, mother, and nurse. This is my area to empower women to take back ownership in their lives by reconnecting with their bodies and taking control of their finances. This is a place for compassion, honesty, faith, and a little humor to get us through.
Now for skosh about me. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 5 years and have two young boys. I was born and raised in Wyoming (yes, it is a real place) and am naturally an introvert. And for any of you who love the enneagram, as I do, I am a 9. I have been a nurse for 5 years and have worked in healthcare for over 10. I do have a strong pull towards helping mothers and wives in the healthcare field, but anyone who feels they can benefit from this message is welcomed here.
My wish is for you to use this space to find healing, growth, and freedom. I specifically feel lead to share my journey with Intuitive Eating and as well as getting out of debt. These two areas in my life have caused me guilt and pain until I was able to stop looking for worldly satisfaction and instead change my own behaviors to truly live a more meaningful life. Our culture is entrenched in diet culture as well as keeping up with the Joneses; this has caused us to become so disconnected from our loved ones and especially ourselves. In later posts, I will go into my own struggles with each of these areas. My dream is that you choose today to love yourself and stop living your life to please the standards of this world.
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Romans 12:2)
Let us renew our minds towards ourselves and move forward with love instead of hate and criticism. Let us reach our goals and cultivate meaningful change in our own lives. So, if you are venturing to create a different narrative for your own life that increases your presence, happiness, and control of your future this is the place for you. We will learn and grow together, lifting each other up in our endeavors to create our own beautiful lives.
